Basketball Recap: Frontier's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Frontier entered their tilt with Malvern on Saturday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 57-44 victory over the Malvern Hornets. This was payback for the Cougars, who suffered a 54-45 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Frontier got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kelsey Dye out in front who went 6-for-11 to rack up 17 points along with six boards and three steals. Another player making a difference was Anna Bowersock, who went 5-for-12 on her way to 16 points and six rebounds.

Frontier's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.3 points over those games. As for Malvern, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-10.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Cougars duke it out with the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Strasburg-Franklin will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Frontier surely won't give up without a fight. Malvern does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
