Basketball Recap: Antioch Bears vs. Cane Ridge Ravens

It was a good run, but the Antioch Bears unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 69-57 to Cane Ridge. Antioch has not had much luck with the Ravens recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Cane Ridge got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaiden Pugh out in front who scored 16 points along with three blocks. Da'ron Hall was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with seven rebounds.

Antioch's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-5. As for Cane Ridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Antioch will challenge the Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hunters Lane has now lost 16 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 21. Cane Ridge's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on February 1st. McGavock will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 323rd, while the Ravens are ranked 67th).
