Science Leadership Academy will challenge the Franklin Towne Warriors at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Science Leadership Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.

Science Leadership Academy is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 17 runs on Wednesday, they were much more limited against George Washington on Thursday. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles.

Science Leadership Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Marisa Phan, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Sofiya Kieselowsky also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Meanwhile, Franklin Towne strolled into their game on Wednesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 5-4 W against Central. Those five runs were actually the fewest the Warriors have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Abigail Pelczar was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Mikayla Quinones, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Franklin Towne pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average this season. As for Science Leadership Academy, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Science Leadership Academy might still be hurting after the 9-3 defeat they got from Franklin Towne when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can Science Leadership Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
