Softball Recap: Radford Comes Up Short

Radford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the James River Knights. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bobcats of the 5-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Ariel Sutphin made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles and one RBI.

Radford's loss dropped their record down to 1-17. As for James River, their victory bumped their record up to 11-7.

While Radford had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
