He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, Davis Reed was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. Tyler Jasinski was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Cape Fear got the win against Douglas Byrd on Wednesday by a conclusive 25-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Colts.
Like Gray's Creek, Cape Fear also got a great game from a two-way player: Ethan Cobb. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Cobb was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with five RBI and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Parker Wallace, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Nick Serbio, who went 2-for-3 with four runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Gray's Creek is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.9 runs over those games. As for Cape Fear, their victory bumped their record up to 15-8.
Friday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Gray's Creek has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .466. However, it's not like Cape Fear struggles in that department as they've averaged .435. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
