Volleyball Recap: Wilson Takes a Loss

Wilson lost against Pee Dee Academy back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Tigers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Golden Eagles.

Wilson was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Pee Dee Academy work for it, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-19.

Lauren Sehnke paced Wilson's offense, picking up nine kills. Sehnke got some help from Janielle Carbonell and her 19 assists. Finally, Veda Lewis kept Wilson's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Wilson's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Pee Dee Academy, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, Wilson will challenge Orangeburg-Wilkinson at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Pee Dee Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Trinity Collegiate at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
