Masuk and Joel Barlow are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2015, but not for long. The Masuk Panthers will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Joel Barlow Falcons at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Fans were treated to a Battle of the Panthers on Friday. Masuk took a 72-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pomperaug. Masuk has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Joel Barlow was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 63-36 loss at the hands of Bethel. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked 142nd, while the Wildcats are ranked 35th).

Joel Barlow's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Masuk, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.

Masuk strolled past Joel Barlow in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 by a score of 67-53. Will Masuk repeat their success, or does Joel Barlow have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
