Basketball Recap: Crane Takes a Loss

Crane lost against Denver City back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Crane Cranes took a 65-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Denver City Mustangs. While losing is never fun, the Cranes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1138th, while the Mustangs are ranked 526th).

Crane dropped their record down to 5-11 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Denver City, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 22-8 record this season.

Coming up, Crane will take on Compass Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Crane is facing Compass Academy at the right time seeing as Compass Academy is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Denver City, they will square off against Stanton at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Stanton has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with 15 straight defeats, while Denver City will come in with four straight wins.
