Baseball Recap: Northgate Comes Up Short

After flying high against Hillel Academy two weeks ago, Northgate came back down to earth. The Flames came up short against the Shenango Wildcats on Monday, falling 10-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Flames of the 9-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2021.

Northgate's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Shenango, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

While Northgate had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
