Basketball Recap: Dr. Krop Takes a Loss

Dr. Krop was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a blow against the Hialeah Gardens Gladiators, falling 64-33. The Lightning were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Gladiators earlier this season, when they won 56-53.

Hialeah Gardens was led to victory by Alexander Masis and Eduardo Hernandez. Masis posted 21 points in addition to five assists and five steals, while Hernandez dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten boards. Masis is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ray Hernandez Jr, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds and six assists.

Dr. Krop's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Hialeah Gardens, they moved to 6-9 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dr. Krop has already played their next matchup (against American), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Hialeah Gardens and Goleman will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played.
