Volleyball Recap: Minooka's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday

Minooka lost against Joliet West back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Indians took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. The Indians' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

While Minooka ultimately came up short, they really made Joliet West work, particularly in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-21.

Jayce Moore paced Minooka's offense, picking up 11 kills. Moore got some help from Nicholas Boyce and his 17 assists.

Minooka's loss dropped their record down to 10-16. As for Joliet West, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a massive bump to their 19-8 record this season.

Minooka will be taking part in a tournament against Evergreen Park at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Joliet West, they will host Joliet Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
