Basketball Game Preview: Whitehaven Tigers vs. Memphis East Mustangs

Whitehaven has won four straight games at home, while Memphis East has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Whitehaven Tigers will host the Memphis East Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

On Tuesday, Whitehaven beat Memphis Central 87-80. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked fourth, while the Warriors are ranked 61st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Memphis East earned a 73-62 win over Overton on Tuesday.

Whitehaven is also on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season. As for Memphis East, their victory bumped their record up to 11-7.
