For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last five times Spring Lake Park and Anoka have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Tuesday. The Panthers' pitchers stepped up to hand the Tornadoes a 1-0 shutout. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Spring Lake Park's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-2. As for Anoka, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 6-2.
