Volleyball Recap: Liberty Comes Up Short at Home Against Bridge City

Liberty unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost 3-0 to the Bridge City Cardinals on Tuesday. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Cardinals recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-16, 25-15.

Leading Bridge City to victory were Jensyn Yeaman and Kaylee Britten. Yeaman had seven digs and six blocks, while Britten had 15 digs. Those six blocks gave Yeaman a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cambree Lacomb, who had nine assists and five digs.

Liberty didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Peaster on the 14th. As for Bridge City, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Dayton on the 14th.
