Basketball Recap: Chamblee Takes a Loss

If Chamblee was feeling good fresh off their 45-22 takedown of Decatur last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Chamblee Bulldogs took a blow against the Arabia Mountain Rams on Friday, falling 81-20. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 55-9.

Arabia Mountain's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sha'Nya Heath led the charge by dropping a double-double with 20 points and ten steals. The game was Heath's third in a row with at least 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Charmaine Owens, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and ten steals.

Chamblee has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season. As for Arabia Mountain, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-6.

Chamblee has already played their next match, a 58-16 loss against Tri-Cities on the 1st. As for Arabia Mountain, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 60-56 win against Lakeside on the 1st.
