Softball Recap: North Central Takes a Loss

North Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 28th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Rogers Pirates, falling 44-32. If the Wolfpack were looking for revenge after losing 14-4 to the Pirates when the teams met back in May of 2021, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Sydney Englert was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in five of her six plate appearances with six stolen bases, seven RBI, and four runs. Those runs marked the first that she has scored this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Micaela Mendez, who got on base in five of her six plate appearances with four stolen bases, five runs, and three RBI.

North Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Rogers, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-10.

North Central wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 28-4 loss against Pullman on the 19th. As for Rogers, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 18-3 defeat against Deer Park on the 19th.
