Baseball Recap: Wednesday's Loss Ends Alleman's Winning Streak

Alleman managed to slip by Geneseo the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Pioneers came up short against the Maple Leafs on Wednesday, falling 8-1. The contest marked the Pioneers' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Alleman saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Will Bowers, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

With the loss, Alleman broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-6. As for Geneseo, they moved to 7-9 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Alleman will head out to take on Galesburg at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Geneseo, they will venture away from home to face off against Bloomington at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
