Basketball Recap: Paris Comes Up Short

Paris was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 57-46 to the Lavaca Golden Arrows. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while the Golden Arrows are ranked 90th).

Paris' loss dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Lavaca, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Paris will take on Mansfield at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lavaca, they will face off against Lamar at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Lavaca comes in on three and Lamar on seven.
