Recap: Jonesville Comets vs. Homer Trojans

After only six points in their last contest, The Jonesville Comets made sure to put some points up on the board against the Homer Trojans on Friday. Jonesville enjoyed a cozy 32-18 victory over Homer. This was payback for Jonesville, who suffered a 38-32 loss the last time these two teams met.

Carson playford went supernova for Jonesville, rushing for 185 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.8 yards per carry. John Milks also helped out as he racked up 115 rushing yards.

Homer's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Parker Chamberlin, who threw for 197 yards and two touchdowns. addison easter also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.

Jonesville's victory was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 3-5. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 26.7 points per game. As for Homer, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
