Baseball Recap: Pioneer Comes Up Short

Pioneer and Liberty Hill squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Pioneer had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 4-2. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Diamondbacks couldn't push the score so high this time.

Pioneer's loss dropped their record down to 20-13. As for Liberty Hill, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-9-1 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Pioneer beat Liberty Hill by a score of 3-2 later that day.
