            Basketball Recap: Vista PEAK Prep Bison vs. Denver East Angels        
        
		
        
        
            If Vista PEAK Prep was feeling good  fresh off their  78-42 takedown of Denver South last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Vista PEAK Prep Bison were dealt  an  83-41 defeat at the hands of the Denver East Angels on Tuesday. The Bison haven't had much luck with the Angels recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
 Despite the  loss, Vista PEAK Prep had strong showings from  Knakai Starks, who  went 5 of 9  to rack up 11  points and seven  boards, and  Jade Hibbler, who  posted eight points and five  steals.
  Evelina Otto was  her usual excellent self,  dropping  a double-double on 27 points and 16  rebounds for Denver East. The dominant performance also gave  Otto a new career-high in  assists (five).  Grace Hall was another key player,  putting up 13  points along with six  boards and five  assists.
Vista PEAK Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Denver East, the  victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-7.
 Vista PEAK Prep didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  42-39  loss against Poudre on the 6th. As for Denver East, they also  wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  game,  a  55-42  defeat against Broomfield on the 6th.
