Baseball Recap: Menlo-Atherton's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Friday just wasn't the day for Menlo-Atherton's offense. They fell 4-0 to the Capuchino Mustangs on Friday. The Bears were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mustangs earlier this season, when they won 6-2.

Menlo-Atherton got a good showing from Wes Peterson, who didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Peterson has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

Menlo-Atherton's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-6. As for Capuchino, their win bumped their record up to 11-9.

Menlo-Atherton didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 8-7 victory against Sequoia on the 21st. As for Capuchino, they have also already played their next game, a 7-6 win against Carlmont on the 23rd.
