Football Game Preview: Springfield Cosmos vs. Bellows Falls Terriers

Springfield hasn't had much luck against Bellows Falls recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Cosmos will square off against the Terriers at 7:00 p.m. Both teams are still undefeated after three games, but that won't be the case come Friday.

Springfield is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Vermont's top teams: Windsor, who was ranked 16th at the time (Springfield was ranked 20th). The Cosmos came out on top against the Yellowjackets by a score of 20-12 on Saturday. The game was the first time the Cosmos have beaten the Yellowjackets on their field since September 14, 2019.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Bellows Falls against North Country Union on Friday as the squad secured a 50-6 win.

Springfield's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Bellows Falls, their win bumped their record up to an identical 3-0.

Springfield was taken down by Bellows Falls 41-0 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Cosmos avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
