The Appomattox County Raiders will head out on the road to face off against the Nelson County Governors at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Appomattox County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.6 points per game this season.
Last Tuesday, Appomattox County didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Dan River, but they still walked away with a 53-48 victory.

Owen Chavis and Riley Chandler were among the main playmakers for Appomattox County as the former went 7-for-13 on his way to 19 points in addition to six rebounds and five blocks and the latter went 7-for-10 to rack up 15 points and eight boards. Those 15 points gave Chandler a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Levi Mann, who posted ten points and three steals.
Appomattox County was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Dan River only eight assists.
Meanwhile, Nelson County entered their tilt with Gretna on Saturday with eight consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with nine. They walked away with a 56-49 win over the Hawks.
Nelson County's win came from a few key players Appomattox County will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Bryce Giles, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and 12 boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last 13 games he's played. Colton Ward was another key player, dropping a double-double with 16 points and ten rebounds.
Nelson County pushed their record up to 17-4 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.1 points over those games. As for Appomattox County, their record is now 13-8.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Appomattox County has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 29.2 boards per game. However, it's not like Nelson County struggles in that department as they've been averaging 41.1 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
