Football Game Preview: Loop Longhorns vs. Sands Mustangs

Loop is 0-5 against Sands since October of 2016 but things could change on Friday. The Longhorns will challenge the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. Loop has given up an average of 43 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Loop's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Klondike on Friday. They were beaten by the Cougars 48-0. Having soared to a lofty 82 points in the game before, the Longhorns' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Sands played against Wilson last Friday and won via forfeit.

The win made it two in a row for Sands and bumps their season record up to 5-3. As for Loop, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Loop ended up a good deal behind Sands when the teams last played back in October of 2024, losing 56-42. Can the Longhorns avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
