Recap: Pender Patriots vs. South Columbus Stallions
The Pender Patriots's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight defeat. They fell just short of South Columbus by a score of 53-50. Pender has struggled against the Stallions recently, as their game on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Pender lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jordan Hansley, who scored 13 points along with three steals. Ryan Howell was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with eight rebounds and four blocks.
Pender has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season. As for South Columbus, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-9.
Pender will head out on the road to challenge the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for South Columbus, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Gators at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
