Football Game Preview: North Judson-San Pierre Bluejays vs. Pioneer Panthers

The North Judson-San Pierre Bluejays will square off against the Pioneer Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Pioneer will be up against a hot North Judson-San Pierre team: the squad just extended their winning streak to seven. The Bluejays claimed a resounding 35-0 victory over Caston. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Bluejays' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana football rankings (they are ranked 111th, while the Comets are ranked 255th).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead North Judson-San Pierre to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ayson Harper, who rushed for 73 yards, and also threw for 30 yards and two TDs. What's more, Harper racked up 135.4 passer rating, the most he's had since back in September of 2024. Logan Pradke was another key back, gaining 85 total yards and a touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: North Judson-San Pierre was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 241 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 216 rushing yards in seven consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, while Pioneer put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Triton. The Panthers blew past the Trojans, posting a 42-0 win. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Panthers just coasted through the last quarter.

Pioneer's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for North Judson-San Pierre, their win bumped their record up to an identical 7-1.

Everything came up roses for North Judson-San Pierre against Pioneer in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 60-18 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Panthers' Micah Rans, who rushed for 115 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also threw for 62 yards and one TD.
