Basketball Recap: O'Farrell Charter Takes a Loss

O'Farrell Charter easily dispatched Health Sciences on Thursday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Falcons fell just short of Mission Vista by a score of 55-52 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Falcons have suffered since December 11, 2024.

Despite the loss, O'Farrell Charter still got an impressive performance from Marcelo Cardenas, who shot 45% from the field to rack up 28 points in addition to five boards and four steals. Another player making a difference was Idiris Ibrahim, who posted eight points.

O'Farrell Charter now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Mission Vista, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Looking ahead, O'Farrell Charter will be taking part in a tournament against Escondido Charter at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Mission Vista, they will take on Grossmont at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
