Football Recap: Clearfield Falls Despite Big Games from Landon Hittle and Brik Barlow

Clearfield extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 2-5. They took a 28-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Roy Royals. The Falcons lost against the Royals in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 35-0 score last time.

Clearfield's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Brik Barlow, who threw for 179 yards and a pair of TDs, and Landon Hittle, who picked up 87 receiving yards and two scores.

As for Roy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-5. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-6 Bonneville and 2-5 Clearfield.

Moresby Tauiautusa was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 97 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries.
