Shadow Ridge piles up the points against Maricopa

Recap: Shadow Ridge Stallions vs. Maricopa Rams

In what's become a running theme this season, the Shadow Ridge Stallions gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They blew past Maricopa, posting a 59-30 victory at home. The victory was just what Shadow Ridge needed coming off of a 55-24 loss in their prior match.

Olivia Holub went supernova for Shadow Ridge, almost dropping a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds. It was the first time this season that Holub pulled down eight or more rebounds. Shaelyn Anthony was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven rebounds and five steals.

Several Rams players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lydia Clark, who scored seven points. Another player making a difference was Mylauni Antone, who scored six points.

Shadow Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 16-9. As for Maricopa, their loss dropped their record down to 4-15.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shadow Ridge and West Point will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Shadow Ridge is facing West Point at the right time seeing as West Point is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Maricopa, they and Cesar Chavez will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Cesar Chavez is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 66.9 points per game this season.
