Soccer Recap: Metamora Takes a Loss

After flying high against Monmouth-Roseville on Thursday, Metamora came back down to earth. The Redbirds came up short against the Moline Maroons on Friday, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, Metamora can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 174th, while Moline are ranked 41st).

Metamora's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4-3. As for Moline, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-4.

Looking ahead, Metamora will challenge Pekin at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Moline, they will take on Quincy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
