Baseball Game Preview: Cambridge Bluejays vs. Marshall Cardinals

Cambridge is 2-8 against Marshall since May of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Bluejays will head out to square off against the Cardinals at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Cambridge took on Fennimore on Saturday. The Bluejays put the hurt on the Golden Eagles with a sharp 9-2 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Bluejays as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Marshall sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 win over Wisconsin Heights on Tuesday.

Cambridge's record is now 14-5. As for Marshall, their record now sits at 5-9.

Cambridge took their victory against Marshall when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 13-0 score. Will the Bluejays repeat their success, or do the Cardinals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
