Basketball Game Preview: Enloe Eagles vs. Sanderson Spartans

Enloe is on a six-game streak of home losses, Sanderson a ten-game streak of away losses dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Wednesday. The Enloe Eagles will host the Sanderson Spartans at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 61-7, which was the final score in Enloe's tilt against Southeast Raleigh on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 534th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 29th).

Meanwhile, Sanderson took a blow against Broughton on Friday, falling 59-17.

Enloe's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Sanderson, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-13.

Enloe might still be hurting after the 44-20 loss they got from Sanderson when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can Enloe avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
