Horizon Science Academy suffers third straight loss on the road

The Horizon Science Academy Hawks 's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They took a 42-27 bruising from Whetstone. Horizon Science Academy has not had much luck with Whetstone recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Horizon Science Academy saw an underclassman step up: Halima Elmi scored 12 points.
Horizon Science Academy dropped their record down to 5-8 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 18.7 points per game. As for Whetstone, their victory ended a eight-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-15.
Horizon Science Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Shekinah Christian at 5:30 p.m. on January 26th. Shekinah Christian will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Whetstone, Whetstone and Columbus International will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Columbus International focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 last Tuesday.
