Taylorville has gone a perfect 7-0 against Pana recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Tornadoes will take on the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. Taylorville is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.

On Monday, Taylorville had just enough and edged out Mahomet-Seymour 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Tornadoes have posted against the Bulldogs since May 1, 2021.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Pana's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of Vandalia by a score of 4-3.

Cash Lynch was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Kezdyn Russell also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Taylorville's victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Pana, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.

Everything went Taylorville's way against Pana in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Taylorville made off with a 7-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tornadoes since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
