Soccer Game Preview: Golden vs. Evergreen

Golden hasn't had much luck against Evergreen recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Demons will head out on the road to face off against the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Golden sitting on three straight wins and Evergreen on four.

Golden's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. Everything went their way against Bear Creek as they made off with a 10-0 victory. It was an even better day for Hadley Nauslar as she scored three goals for her team.

Meanwhile, Evergreen made easy work of Dakota Ridge on Friday and carried off a 5-1 win. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 5-0.

Evergreen pushed their record up to 6-1-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four contests. As for Golden, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1-1.

Golden came out on top in a nail-biter against Evergreen in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Demons since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
