Mahtomedi waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Pine City Dragons by a score of 2-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Zephyrs also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

Mahtomedi easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-18.

Mahtomedi's win bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Pine City, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season.

Mahtomedi has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Academy of Holy Angels on the 27th. As for Pine City, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Maranatha Christian Academy on the 27th.
