Baseball Recap: Thursday's Victory Is Klein Cain's 17th in Last 18 Outings

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Klein Cain walked away with it. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Rockwall Yellowjackets on Thursday, sneaking past 3-2. That's two games straight that the Hurricanes have won by just one run.

Mario Borges was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Klein Cain is on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-7-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Rockwall, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 29-9.

Klein Cain will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Yellowjackets: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
