Schenck is 2-8 against Lee Academy since May of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Wolverines will be playing at home against the Pandas at 4:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Schenck came out on top against Greenville on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive ten-run third inning. The Wolverines were the clear victors by a 15-2 margin over the Lakers. The result was nothing new for the Wolverines, who have now won four matches by ten runs or more so far this season.

Cameron Atkinson made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out nine batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs. Schenck is undefeated when Atkinson posts two or more runs, but 1-3 otherwise.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Trevor Vandine, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with five stolen bases, four runs, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Schenck: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 1-3 otherwise. Owen Wyman was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
Schenck always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .541. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Lee Academy entered their tilt with Searsport on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 10-9 W against the Vikings. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Pandas have posted since May 1, 2024.
Schenck is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Lee Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.
Schenck came up short against Lee Academy when the teams last played back in May of 2024, falling 7-3. Can the Wolverines avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
