Softball Recap: St. George's Comes Up Short

St. George lost to St. Benedict at Auburndale back in March and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Gryphons lost 17-2 to the Eagles. The Gryphons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

St. George's saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Katie Wolaver, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

St. George's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for St. Benedict at Auburndale, their win bumped their record up to 13-8.

Coming up, St. George's will be playing at home against Fayette Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Benedict at Auburndale, they are taking a road trip to challenge Marion County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
