Savannah had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.7 points) and they went ahead and made it eight on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 78-57 margin over the Portal Panthers. The Bluejackets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matches by 20 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Maki Joyner, who posted 26 points and seven boards. Deshawn Davis was another key player, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 14 rebounds.

Portal's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was CJ Harden, who had 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brian Mcqueen, who earned 12 points and eight boards.

Savannah pushed their record up to 19-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 24.2 points. As for Portal, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-14.

Savannah has already played their next contest, a 51-45 victory against Bryan County on the 8th. Portal does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
