Baseball Recap: Ligonier Valley Comes Up Short

Ligonier Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 14-2 to the Freeport Yellowjackets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Yellowjackets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-0 last Tuesday.

Ligonier Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Freeport, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-4.

Coincidentally, Ligonier Valley and Freeport will both be playing Deer Lakes the next time they take the field. The Rams will host the Lancers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Yellowjackets will host them at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
