Basketball Recap: Schlagle Comes Up Short

Schlagle was the 70-12 winner over Turner when they last played one another back in December of 2016, but their luck changed this time around. The Schlagle Stallions lost 43-18 to the Turner Golden Bears on Thursday. The match marked the Stallions' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Schlagle is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7. As for Turner, the win snapped their losing streak at nine games and leaves them with a 2-10 record.

Schlagle and Turner could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings. Schlagle will square off against Highland Park at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 193 places (341 vs. 148). Similarly, Turner (ranked 286th) will meet Seaman (ranked fifth) at 5:45 p.m. on Friday.
