Baseball Game Preview: Windom Eagles vs. Redwood Valley Cardinals

The Windom Eagles will take on the Redwood Valley Cardinals at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Windom barely beat Blue Earth the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles never let the Buccaneers get on the board and left with an 11-0 win on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won six contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

Redwood Valley not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 18, 2024 (when they won 12-2). They were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over Jackson County Central.

Windom's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-5. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Redwood Valley, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.

Windom took their win against Redwood Valley in their previous matchup two weeks ago by a conclusive 14-1 score. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Cardinals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
