Volleyball Recap: Bertrand Comes Up Short

Bertrand was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Anselmo-Merna Coyotes.

Addy Sand paced Bertrand's offense, picking up five kills. Sand got some help from Addison Andersen and her 14 assists.

Anselmo-Merna can attribute much of their success to Lily Thornton, who had seven digs and three aces.

Bertrand's loss dropped their record down to 3-20. As for Anselmo-Merna, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-11.

Bertrand wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Medicine Valley on the 11th. As for Anselmo-Merna, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Hay Springs on the 11th.
