Baseball Recap: Glide Comes Up Short

Glide was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Cottage Grove Lions. The game marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Glide now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Cottage Grove, they now have a winning record of 4-3-1.

Coming up, Glide will head out on the road to square off against Oakland at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Oakers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.5 runs per game on average), something the Wildcats will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Cottage Grove, they will challenge Harrisburg at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight.
