Soccer Recap: Smithfield-Selma Takes a Loss

Smithfield-Selma fell victim to South Garner and their airtight defense on Monday. They fell just short of the Titans by a score of 1-0. The game got a bit rough at times, as the refs handed out a total of three yellow cards before it was all over: Smithfield-Selma's Sebastian Gonzalez and South Garner's Marvin Petatan and Elijah Zapata were all carded.

Smithfield-Selma's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4-1. As for South Garner, their win bumped their record up to 3-6-1.
