Softball Recap: McFarland Comes Up Short

McFarland lost against Baraboo back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Spartans fell 6-3 to the Thunderbirds.

McFarland now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Baraboo, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

McFarland will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Mount Horeb at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Spartans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season. As for Baraboo, they will take on Portage at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Thunderbirds surely won't give up without a fight.
