Baseball Recap: Alhambra Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Alhambra fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Campolindo on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 5-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 on Tuesday.

Alhambra saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ali Cepeda Jr, who went 1-for-4 with one run. Gabriel Jackson also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for Alhambra and nudges their season record down to 9-6. Even worse, they were so close both times: the losses came by an average of only 1.5 runs. As for Campolindo, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Alhambra will challenge rival Acalanes at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bulldogs 2.9, the Dons 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Campolindo is set to take on their familiar foe College Park at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
