Soccer Recap: St. Martin Extends Home Winning Streak to Eight

St. Martin won the last time they faced Gulfport and things went their way on Friday too. The St. Martin Yellow Jackets had just enough and edged the Gulfport Admirals out 3-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Yellow Jackets.

Taylor Hartzler and Brianne Sanders scored all three of St. Martin's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 32 goals.

St. Martin pushed their record up to 10-3-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 45 goals over those eight contests. As for Gulfport, they moved to 7-6-4 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Martin will venture away from home to challenge D'Iberville at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Martin is facing D'Iberville at the right time seeing as D'Iberville is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Gulfport, they will head out to square off against Ocean Springs at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
